ABOUT THE CLIENT:

Client is a global leader & well known OEM in Telecom and IT sector. It offers cutting-edge wireless, VAS and managed services to the telecom operators, in addition to ICT solutions for enterprises and government agencies.

PROBLEM STATEMENT:

Operator License was on the verge of expiry for not meeting the DoT Standards post New Frequency Spectrum allocation.

OEM was not in a position to provide the complete set of Hardware RSU (Radio Station Unit) within desired timelines to meet compliance.

OBJECTIVE

OEM planned to upgrade the old RSU’s in affected circles vis Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh & Himachal Pradesh.

The company evaluated multiple service partners & finally Shortlisted RV Solutions among the 10 ASP’s & awarded us to conduct the RSU up-gradation & installation.

Challenges faced

  • Arranging testing equipment for Obsolete Hardware as OEM was unable to do supply as it was not a regular supply item.

  • Arranging 250 manpower within a short period.

  • In house initial challenges faced are with the manuals being in Chinese language & sorted using online language translator. Associated testing equipment is flown through by air from Client, PRC with in short notice of time.

  • RSU deployment was done in Naxal Affected area of Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh and Snowfall impacted Region of Himachal Pradesh.

  • Unavailability of Buffer RSU’s

SOLUTION:

RV Solutions Pvt Ltd provided On Site Solution of establishing their Repair setups on location wise with proper ESD & Quality Compliances.

  1. Repair Setup: Repair setup formulated in Indore/Bhopal/Satna locations in MP, Bilaspur/Durg locations in CG & Shimla location In Himachal Pradesh Repair Setup constituted for effective execution of project with proper ESD Compliance’s

  • 220 Engineers Hired & trained for Project for timely Execution of project

  • 10000 RSU unit upgraded in repair setups

  • 3000 RSU units deployed in field

  • Testing Manuals/setups are in Chinese language, translated in English through online tool
