The Plastic waste generated in India is around 9mn Tonnes per year. This situation is indeed alarming and steps needs to be taken to reduce the plastic waste generated. As the plastic waste menace increases all around the world, scientists, entrepreneurs and engineers are scrambling to come up with solutions that help to reduce it or at least discard it responsibly.
RV Solutions, on this republic day, pledged to work on4 Rs that is reduce, refuse, reuse and recycle plastic. Under this initiative, the company is striving to build strategic alliances and forge partnerships with industry bodies and consortium at the local, national and international levels. With this in mind the company volunteered for the HUL start a little good program that is involved with recycling plastic waste and creating recycled plastic products like benches and plastic glass frames. This event took place at the Banks of the Yamuna River at Kalindi Kunj located in Delhi. Cross Functions teams from the organisation took part in the 3 hour long Plastic waste collection drive to clean the banks, collect plastic and hand it over to the teams from HUL who would then recycle the waste collected and turn this waste into fantastic items like plastic benches and plastic frames. Speaking on this CEO RV Solutions Vandana Seth said that “This is small step that we have taken towards our War on Waste and it is indeed inspiring for MSMEs like RV Solutions that that corporations like HUL are taking the step towards recycling plastic. Special word of appreciation to our eco warriors who volunteered towards cleaning our banks and rivers helping reduce plastic waste”
